  • buried on the battlefield at 36c.G17b.5.7½ (though there is also a letter in his army service record saying 36c.G17b.4.6). After the war his grave became part of Bois-Carré Military Cemetery, Haisnes. Pas-de-Calais, France, (at 44a.G17b.8.2), and is numbered A.20.  Gravestone: “Captain H.K. Cassels, Royal Berkshire Regiment, 25th September 1915” - no personal inscription CWGC
  • Stained Glass Window panel dedicated to him in the chapel of Clayesmore School, Iwerne Minster, Dorset

  • the chapel of Clayesmore School, Iwerne Minster, Dorset (one of 37 names)

  • the prefects board at Clayesmore School, Iwerne Minster, Dorset (spelt incorrectly as “H K Cassells”)

  • on his father’s grave in the churchyard of St John The Evangelist Church, Shirley, near Croydon

  • City & Guilds College, London – two memorials: one stone (one of 192 names), one wood (one of 197 names), in ground floor Mechanical Engineering department at Imperial College London
