a memorial stained glass window was commissioned by his parents in his memory was unveiled on 30th September 1917 in Richmond Presbyterian Church. The latter later became Richmond-upon-Thames United Reformed Church. In the 1990s the church roof started leaking and as the congregation couldn't afford the repairs, it was decided to sell the church for redevelopment and use the proceeds to build a new smaller church. The Hobbs memorial stained glass window was removed before the redevelopment. There was some confusion as to where it has ended up – the stained glass dealer who sold has a memory of the two side panels being sold to someone in Canada and that the centre panel possibly went to someone in Japan.
